lets say you’re eating a salad. between each bite, put down your fork and take a sip of water. not chugging water, just take a casual sip. use your phone as a distraction as well. you’ll get full and you’ll be eating a low calorie meal in front of people.
for instance, this literally just happened:
my mom made me dinner (1 morning star chik’n pattie 140 cals) and i got it out of the oven, put ketchup on my plate, and got a glass of water. i cut up the pattie into 12 or so pieces and i took a sip of water first, then i took the first bite, chewed it all the way, swallowed, and took another sip of water. then i scrolled through twitter as a distraction so i wouldn’t eat quickly.
i kept doing that until the entire thing was gone. right now, i’m extremely full and i got away only eating 170 calories at dinner :D
